If you are going to post about your commercial products - please include some price points, so people know whether to ignore the info based on their budget.
Is the beta free? for how long? if not how much for 5 machines?

One of my biggest pet peeves is secret prices, it is such a waste of time for all parties involved - no your best sales person can't convince me that I need your $10,000 product if my budget is $5,000. The idea that making people jump throw hoops (email the sales team, fill out web forms, etc) will some how improve your sales opportunities is a myth created and perpetuated by sales organizations. And I have heard all the excuses for not posting prices, price ranges, etc, they are all bs and/or boil down to "because we want to charge each customer as much as we can and we don't want them to have any reference points"

As soon as I have the need, I am going to buy a ddrdrive specifically because they post the price so that I was able to quickly determine if it was something that I could justify without having to beg for that info.

I also found I was looking at Sun servers and storage much more after they started posting prices on the web site.

BTW, I am not just sitting in my basement complaining, well I am sitting in my basement complaining - but I also just ordered 60 1TB 6Gbps drives, 40 1 TB F3 drives, 20 WD Raptor 600 GB drives, 12 machines, 8 enclosures for one project.

Hi all,

Halcyon recently started to add ZFS pool stats to our Solaris Agent, and
because many people were interested in the previous OpenSolaris beta* we've
rolled it into our OpenSolaris build as well.

I've already heard some great feedback about supporting ZIL and ARC stats,
which we're hoping to add soon. If you'd like to see what we have now, and
maybe try it on your OpenSolaris system, please see the download/screenshot
page here:

I know this isn't the best time to be posting about legacy OpenSolaris: we're
keeping our eyes on Solaris 11 Express / Illumos and aim to support the more
advanced features of Solaris 11 the day it's pushed out the door.

Thanks for your time!
