Our client is seeking a Business Process Analyst consultant for long term
contract with our prestigious "communications" client in San Jose. The
successful consultant will combine their practical experience with *Quote,
Order, and / or Pricing processes* with a desire to analyze complex business
rules in a large, global enterprise and to help our client redesign their
on-line configuration and ordering process and tools from end to end. The
project's goal is to deliver a world-class end-to-end Customer purchasing

Operate as a spokesperson for the business departments and interact with IT
to determine appropriate solutions to business problems.  Provide analysis,
definition and direction to development and maintenance activities. Ensure
business functionality, requirements, and operational excellence standards
are met.


·     Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements
workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases,
scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.  Assist in
developing tactical and strategic decisions to support business goals and
operational efficiency.  Determine impacts of existing business operating
models on the policies, processes, tools and systems; develop requirements
to implement changes necessary to enable those models.

·     Use sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision
making skills.

·     Identify opportunities for improvement.

·     Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources,
reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract
up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish
user requests from the underlying true needs.

·     Transform vision into requirements by documenting current state,
desired future state, gap analysis, flowcharts, user requirements, system
requirements, reporting requirements,

·     Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues. Document use case
requirements, org adoption and  training needs, write FAQ's, help documents,
narratives, etc.

·     Proactively communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams to
analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver the
Business Requirements Document, Process Flows, Use Cases, etc…

·     Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

·     Work independently with users to define concepts under direction of
project managers.

·     Guide IT counterparts in detailed analysis.

·     Drive and challenge business stakeholder assumptions.

·     Strong analytical and organizational skills required, including a
thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and
translate them into application and operational requirements.

·     Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to
interact professionally with diverse groups, executives, managers, and
subject matter experts.

·     Serve as the conduit between the stakeholder community (internal and
external customers) and the development team through which requirements

·     Review use cases and other technical documents with IT project staff
to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in technical
planning documents.

·     Work with IT to conduct testing to meet project timelines.  Assist in
testing of requirements during Test Cycles and ensure traceability of
requirements through to launch.

·     Develop requirements according to standard templates.

·     Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to analyze
tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

·     Be the liaison between the business stakeholders, technology teams and
support teams.  Conduct project meetings.  Meet with project team(s)
regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.

·     Articulate needs and requirements to development teams business
requirements are transformed into functional specifications.  Partner with
development team on requirements review and reaching consensus on
solutions.  Work with IT to clarify requirements as needed during design,
development, and test cycles.

General Skills:

·     Typically requires BS or University degree equivalent plus 6-8 years
experience in of related experience. Experience in project management and
operations preferred.  Advanced degree strongly preferred.

·     5+ years total experience minimum

·     *3+ years demonstrated process analysis experience required*; Six
Sigma Greenbelt or Black-belt preferred; *experience creating process
decomposition and flows, value analysis, process streamlining, DMAIC, root
cause analysis, process measurement and control, and SIPOC analysis required

·     Oracle experience a plus

·     Excellent communication skills - presentation as well as personal,
soft skills preferred

·     *Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint*

·     Experience in a global, complex matrix organization  (

·     Detail oriented, take charge, self starter, independent worker with
entrepreneurial drive is critical

·     Demonstrated change management skills; ability to solve complex
problems and drive consensus around targeted solutions

·     Ensure data validation complies with specified guidelines and business

·     Identify and drive initiatives on process simplification, systems and
tools enhancement & business data analysis improvement

·     Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as strong
people skills, collaborative, self-motivated and creative

·     Execute against project plans, provide timely status on progress, work
independently and deliver on timelines

Client is seeking an experienced *Business Process Analysts with Black Belt
Certification* and strong leadership experience to help our industry leading
Network and Communications client in San Jose analyze, design, optimize and
measure key business processes related to service sales operations and to
provide leadership and guidance in implementation.  Strong experience with
Statistical analysis is an emphasized requirement as is strong familiarity
with IT Systems and tools and the integration with / support of key
processes in this rapidly growing business area. We are looking for a strong
process analyst with the ability to envision the process solution at
building block level, articulate the vision, and develop it into a
comprehensive To-Be process that efficiently meets the needs of the business
and its customers.  This is a great LONG Term opportunity.

*Duties and Responsibilities*

·    Review Documentation and processes, gather inputs from customer sources
and advocates

·    Perform Statistical Analysis on key operations and of re-designed

·    Develop a vision of the fundamental process and articulate it

·    Develop the vision into streamlined To-Be process proposals

*Experience and Skills*

·    Bachelors Degree in Business or a related filed

·    *7+ years experience analyzing and developing business processes with a
preference for Sales Operations SME*

·    Strong Process Documentation skills

·    Strong Statistical Analysis Experience.

·    *Experience with business process engineering / change management
methodologies i.e. six sigma black belt required.*

·    Very strong communication and facilitation skills

·    *Exceptional Process Optimization, Design and Measurement Skills*

·    IT Savvy, particularly regarding Systems and Tools Integration /
Support of business processes
