Scope of responsibility includes analysis, design, development and implementation of common business solutions within SAP. This individual is also responsible for assisting in the transition of platform specific applications to SAP applications. Projects & Development: - Responsible for the full SAP software development life cycle management of systems related projects/programs and the direction of technical resources as required to deliver the specified product - Coordinates activities through direct and indirect staff - Directs SAP resources to meet scheduled milestones and ensures project/program objectives are met - Evaluates project status and SAP resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness - Ensures SAP projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with other software applications, as needed - Possesses an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing SAP software projects and programs - Reviews performance of SAP application programs to ensure program efficiency, program documentation, and to ensure that output of the SAP group meets the needs of user departments - Ensures the SAP development resources (internal & external) are compliant with IS process requirements, e.g. quality, security and project management, etc. - Directs SAP technical teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices - Serves as the primary point of contact from SAP project/program inception to delivery Management: - Responsible for supervising, recruiting, hiring, training new SAP application development employees and managing the service delivery process - Responsible for re-skilling service delivery resources to meet changing business requirements - Prepares regular reports showing functioning of the SAP system, status of program development and SAP group metrics - Participates in budgeting and capital equipment processes and quality improvement activities for the SAP organization Job Requirements - (i.e. degree/certification/job skills, etc. Must be included to complete this requisition): - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience. - Seven to ten years of IS work experience is required. Prior management experience of a global SAP development team is required.
