Job Description: Responsible for the sale of Perot Systems' services
to assigned accounts or within a given territory. Makes and develops
contacts with existing and potential customers. Analyzes existing and
anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of Perot
Systems' products and services to meet such requirements. Participates
in the preparation of sales plans and campaigns, business plans, and
product development plans. Conducts sales presentations. Maintains
up-to-date and accurate sales records. Maintains technical proficiency
and consults with prospective customers regarding Perot System! s.
Keeps informed of new services and technology and other information of
interest to customers. Investigates new applications or improvements
to products. Provides marketing intelligence to sales management and
may participate in the development of sales forecasts and strategies.
Typical of the Senior Specialist level provides technical support to
clients and Perot personnel on complex projects. Capitalizes on
training to resolve difficult client issues where standard practice
has failed. Acts as senior on-site technical advisor to client and
Perot Systems' team members. Works with Senior Manager to ensure that
all assigned team members possess adequate training for assignments.
Requires 10 or more years of progressive, directly related sales
experience, preferably in area of technology sales, or equivalent
combination of applicable education and experience. Masters degree or
professional certification is desirable. Typical Duties . Researches
complex problems to ascertain! possible solutions. Designs
leading-edge solutions to support custome r needs. . Works on projects
having diverse issues, and suggests alternative solutions to solve
difficult client issues. Recommend creative ways to meet customer
needs. . Examines proposals to make sure that package includes
adequate project scope information. . Attends client meeting as
technical spokesperson. May accompany Director on sales calls as
acting technical representative. . Provides input to Senior Manager on
team member assignments, future promotability, and performance
appraisals. Provides technical assessment of staff to Senior Manager.
Recommends applicable training as necessary.
