Job Title : Network Engineer Location: Schaumburg, IL Duration: 2+months with chances of extension Position: Sr. Network Engineer *Technical Skills:* Must have a minimum of Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification 8+ Years of Experience in Network Administration, planning and management Must have worked with all ranges of Cisco equipments Primary exposure to Cisco Technologies - Switching, Routing, Firewall, Content Management *Protocols Exposure expected:* Ethernet, Frame relay, MPLS, VPLS, IPSec, ATM, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, EGP, ICMP, SNMP, OSPF, RIP etc Exposure to most of the application level protocols and services like FTP, NFS, SSH, SMTP, DHCP etc Must have experience in setting up mid to large size data center networks Must have hands on experience in configuring Switches, routers and firewalls and load balancers end to end Must be able to design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches Must have certifications from Cisco (CCNA & CCNP) *Soft Skills:* Must have good communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Understanding of production network environment is very much needed Being able to work in a diverse team Must be flexible with working hours Must be able to work with Offshore teams over telecom / webex *Additional knowledge:* Exposure to Nortel range of products is a plus Exposure to F5 load balancers and content management devices is a plus -- Regards, P.Bharani Kumar, Alrek Business Solutions Inc.
