*Java Developer (experience with BEA Tuxedo)* *Duration: 7 Months* *Located in Menlo Park, CA.** *** *Rate: Open * The Senior Staff Engineer will be responsible for Client's technology development efforts and ensuring projects are delivered with the highest quality of design and implementation that are consistent with ETF technology guidelines and infrastructure. Success of performance will be measure based on sound technical judgment, timely execution of deliverables, project coordination with cross-functional teams (product, technology development, architecture consortium, systems engineering, QA, and deployment). The engineer will work with product managers to produce technical specifications documentation consistent with the functional requirements document. *Additional Comments: *The engineer in this position will be taking ownership of several technical areas of the Client's financial product. *Key skills required in priority order are* · * **Java* *·** **Tuxedo* *·** **C and C++* *·** **PL/SQL * The Senior Staff Engineer must have in-depth understanding of development project life cycle including: technical design, source repository code management, implementation, unit/integration testing, deployment strategy, and post-deployment maintenance. Skills required include: design and implementation of web-based applications, servlets, client/server architecture, HTTP/XML transport protocols, BEASystems Tuxedo, C/C++, Java, Oracle PL/SQL, Perl, CGI, shell scripting, XML/XSL technology, HTML, javascript. Senior staff will also be expected to know how to effectively use debuggers to identify code defects, memory faults, and performance improvements. Cross-functional involvements will require strong written and verbal communication skills as well as inter-personal skills that encourage and foster team collaboration. Minimum Education, Certification, Training: · BS in computer science required.
