The windows system administrator is the individual who has primary
responsibility for all Microsoft Windows servers, installation of the
operating system, server configuration, patch management, security, active
directory, SQL server, IIS, automated deploy services (ADS) and software
update service (SUS).

*Knowledge and Experience Needed*
- A 3 to 5 years of systems administration experience with focus on
Windows 2003 servers.
- A Administration of Windows 2003 Server domain administration,
including large scale Active Directory management A Active Directory
configuration automation with intense focus on GPOs A Installation,
configuration and management of IIS 5/6 and MS SQL Server 2005, SMS / ADS
(Automated Deployment Services) A Patch, Service Pack and configuration
management / testing of Microsoft technologies B Demonstrated experience
with Microsoft Office Suite A Experience with configuration and change
management in a compliance driven environment.
- B Experience with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
Responsibilities Maintain full compliance with Department server standards.
- Manage day to day operations of Windows enterprise servers and an
enterprise Windows Active Directory domain in a complex distributed
- System administrators will perform large scale project management
functions as well as end user application and desktop client support.
- Responds to the needs and questions of server users concerning their
access to resources and the operation of supported software application.
- Education and Certifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science,
Information systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- MCSA Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (required) One or more
security related certifications (CISSP, CISA) or demonstrated past
performance with compliance attainment and security requirements such as
(PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and GLBA etc.)
