Production Support Analyst in Denver for a position that is ongoing. We need someone that has worked at larger financial type companies and that is used to the rigorous change control, adherence to SLAs etc. We also are looking for someone that has really had a primary role of doing production support full time. Candidate's primary responsibility will be production support of a application that runs a JAVA J2EE front end with an ORACLE database and a batch backend. The candidate will support other JAVA and server based applications as needed. Candidate will be required to act as liaison between the various business and IT groups to communicate issues and coordinate resolutions to production issues. Responsible for tracking and documenting production issues using incident and change management software. Expected to troubleshoot and document steps surrounding issues reported in production environment. Candidate will be responsible for coding, testing and coordinating implementation of fixes into the production environment. Required education/experience: -Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. -5 to 8 years of IT work experience in systems programming / analysis Excellent Communication Skills. Excellent Problem Solving/troubleshooting Skills. Ability to interface with business users on a daily basis. Ability to work in both a team environment as well as work un-supervised and autonomous. 3+ years previous production support experience of intranet-based applications. Experience needed: Java, Oracle, SQL, financial industry, Application production support experience (from application development point of view not server management or database management or IT operations), J2EE & STRUTS knowledge, Weblogic. This is a support position with the only application development being minor enhancements and production fixes. It will involve a lot of interaction with end users and analysis of issues and so excellent communication and coordination skills are needed. We would like to see people that have primarily been in this kind of a role more recently in their career.
