*Job Description:* The primary objective of the Director of Business
Development (DBD) is to provide high-level leadership in sales and client
development to significantly increase the penetration of Key Accounts for
the firm.  The primary focus will be on generating incremental revenues for
the company, through a combination of sales to new clients as well as
up-selling/cross selling to current clients.  This is accomplished through a
consultative selling approach creating increased value for our customers by
means of the Firm's customized solutions.  The DBD is expected to develop
the skills, industry contacts, and general industry knowledge across the
entire spectrum of industries that the firm covers.  The DBD will be
responsible to sell the full portfolio of the firms services (GPS and GC)
into our Key Accounts.  The DBD will work directly with clients in providing
them with continuous support and insight to strengthen their relationships
with the firm.  Lastly, it is important that the DBD work closely with the
sales team, research team, and CVE to drive strategies, initiatives and
customer satisfaction.

 *Responsibilities include:*

   - Personal ownership of at least $1.5M in sales target with 5 to 10 key
   Tier 1 accounts
   - Development and implementation of formal Strategic Account Plans for
   each of the key accounts
   - The direction and coordination of activities with these accounts with
   sales managers and other sales executives, regionally or globally, as the
   case may be
   - Oversee interaction with existing clients while driving efforts for the
   acquisition of new business relationships at the C-level
   - Create and contribute new business ideas
   - Promote and market services to accelerate client acceptance and
   - Provide leadership and vision for change programs
   - Exhibit teamwork and value internally through coaching and mentoring
   - Selling "service" as a product by leveraging our consultative sales
   - Support in sales and business development training within and outside
   the sales organization

*The ideal candidate will possess:*

   - Minimum 10 years sales experience in a premier research or strategy
   consulting firm with a proven track record of continuous success
   - A history of successfully developing, maintaining and expanding major
   account relationships, especially with the C-suite of client organizations
   - Unyielding drive in closing high revenue and long term business
   - Professional appearance, poise, and confidence, coupled with
   exceptional client relationship and presentation skills
   - Entrepreneurial spirit with a high level of business acumen
   - Energy, integrity, and strong work ethic
   - Proactive and positive management skills for the direction of a dynamic
   - Flexibility to travel as needed
   - Highly developed written and verbal skills
   - Exceptional organizational skills for the coordination of events and
   flawless execution of business plans
   - Accurate sales forecasting and business planning experience
   - Outstanding communications skills
   - Bachelor's degree in Science or Business, MBA or MS in science or
   business highly desirable
