Must send updated profile.* Title: *EXCHANGE INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER* Location: *Brooklyn****, NY* Duration: 6months Skills: *SCOPE OF SERVICES * The IT Consultant will be assisting in the engineering component of an initiative to build and expand the Exchange environments to allow for the migration of various email systems into a centralized Exchange environment. The size of the environment is extensive, including support for over 30, 000 users currently with a growth rate of an additional 30,000 users over the next year and a half. The project involves expanding and upgrading the current Exchange environment (Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007), building a disaster recovery environment and assisting with email migrations from a project coordinator perspective. The PM candidate will also coordinate activities with Windows/Exchange engineers, storage staff, other project managers, and numerous business and client partners. The IT Consultant may also be managing other messaging-related projects as necessary. *Project Manager* Under direction of Senior Project Management, the IT Consultant will initiate and monitor all activities for large, high risk, major technology-based projects from initiation to delivery. The IT Consultant will manage activities associated with projects that typically cross platforms, applications, and/or business lines; work with the Wintel Engineering, Wintel Patching, Wintel Security, Wintel Server Support, Wintel Backup, the Wintel Messaging and Wintel SAN teams along with business partners to understand problems, develop technical and resource requirements, and develop technology concepts, design alternatives, project schedules and costs for new systems initiatives. The IT Consultant will develop and maintain detailed project plans, coordinate and execute plans, run regular project status meetings; provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, significant issue management and resolution. The IT Consultant will manage budgets along with vendor management and resource coordination. The IT Consultant will ensure adherence to a communication plan and provide consistent and comprehensive communication with business lines and technology management levels. Apply ITIL Best Practice Methodologies in the course of project. Ensure responsibility for, and successful completion, of all forms of testing based on project methodology. * * *MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE **Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.* The preferred candidate must possess: - At least 4 years of experience as an IT Project Manager of medium to large scale infrastructure projects; - The Project Manager must be familiar with messaging systems, system administration and architecture expertise. - Extensive expertise in Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint. Preference will be given to individuals with at least three (3) years email migration experience in a clustered, high availability Exchange environment. Self-motivated, drives to closure, results oriented and detail oriented are all essential qualities of the ideal candidate. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required as well as ability to present and sell solutions both internally and to other agencies. The preferred candidate will be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources; should be able to take strategic direction from executive management; should take initiative, self motivating, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made; creative thinkers are desired; must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance. *DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE* A Bachelor's degree in a related IT field Bachelor's degree is desired. Experience in a large, geography dispersed environment is highly desired. Understanding of Microsoft Exchange 2007, Novell and Linux environments a plus. Experience in business analysis is preferred; candidate will have the ability to make presentations to both technical and executive management staff. "Get it done right – Get it done now" attitude. Advanced Exchange 2003/2007, Active Directory, documentation and overall Windows OS skills helpful. Knowledge of DNS, WINS, DHCP and LDAP compliant directories; Outlook Web Access and Microsoft Outlook; Blackberry, Windows Mobile/Active Sync, Exchange 5.5/2000/2003 preferred.
