Title: Jr. Java Developer
Location is Creve Coeur, *MO.***
*Duration: 18 months +*
The skills that are highlighted in blue are most important. There are 3
positions open right now and 2 more to follow after this. It's all new
development for one of their next customers and this project will go at
least into 2nd Quarter of 2010. If you have any questions, please let me
' 2-5 years Java development experience
*' 2-3 years experience developing multithreaded Java applications*
*' 2-3 years experience with the following Java technolgies: Spring, JDBC,
*' 2-3 years experience with TCP/IP socket development*
' 2-3 years experience with SQL
*' 2-4 years programming experience with databases, preferably Oracle* and
' 2-3 years development experience in a Unix environment (Korn Shell, Bash
' 1-2 years Unix shell scripting experience
' 1-2 years experience with UML (class diagrams, sequence diagrams, use
' 1-3 years system administration experience (Unix, Web Servers, CRMS, etc)
' 1-3 years XML experience
' Superior troubleshooting experience
*' Experience working with a wide range of unix-based, commercial products*

Responsible for coding and integrating custom solutions with MasterCard
Risk/Fraud Management systems. Responsible for installing, configuring, and
troubleshooting Risk/Fraud Management systems. Responsible for testing
custom development modules and the integration of Risk Management systems
with other products and modules. Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate
product defects and performance bottlenecks. Evaluate requests to determine
technical feasibility, develop technical alternatives and recommend optional
technical solutions. Ensure knowledge transfer of vendor technology to
MasterCard staff. Collaborate with Business Owners on new projects and
identify the applicability of new technologies or hosting services to
MasterCard's Risk products. Communicate the business value of technology
with customers and business partners.
' Responsible for implementing the technical architecture of hosted Risk
Prediction applications at MasterCard.
' Responsible for participating in new product or project proposal efforts,
providing work estimates, and following through on deliverables.
' Responsible for documenting all aspects of the technical architecture
according to defined MasterCard standards.
' Work as part of a team to develop and deliver fraud/risk solutions.
' Install, configure, and monitor risk products.
' Test commercial products and custom code modules.
' Troubleshoot production issues and work with product vendors to resolve
' Responsible for evaluating new Risk/Fraud Management technologies and
hosted services for technical fit with MasterCard technology standards.
