I am in need of a Sr. Cisco Engineer who has started on their CCIE
certification (or has already completed their CCIE) Position is in NYC,
length of contract is slated till beginning of July – Enclosed are the
complete job specifications, please send your best candidates –
Project description: Data Center relocation project. Collapsing 4 sites into
1 new space and ensuring services are available to the new space as well as
over 70 remote offices. Person will be responsible for Cisco related
services including design review and validation, planning and configuration
of all routing / switching devices (Core, Distribution and Access layer
switching) as well as Cisco Security Manager, cutover and testing. They will
be working conjunction with our PM, as well as other partners from a program
management, storage and virtualization perspective. The extension potential
comes from the possibility this person may then be required to provide a
number of post project support days after the successful cutover.
The Senior Cisco Engineer will have significant recent experience designing
and implementing enterprise network and communications solutions. Strong
routing and switching (OSPF, EIGRP, QOS, etc.) and large scale (500+ users)
Cisco Unified Communications experience is a must. Experience with network
security, video surveillance, and wireless is helpful. The applicant must
be an exceptional communicator and approach projects from a consultative
value-add mindset being able to analyze, design, and implement while
communicating the value and approach of such design. Responsibilities
include leading delivery efforts for complex LAN, WAN, and Unified
Communications solutions, as well as working with practice leads to develop
compelling offerings, and with sales management teams through business
development efforts.
Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years engineering experience in the design and
implementation of Cisco network and voice infrastructure
Expert implementation and support knowledge around Cisco's routing,
switching, and unified communication product lines
Pre-sales experience with ability to drive deep consultative
discussions with goal of architecting network and voice solutions that hit
client's best-value points
CCVP a plus
CCIE Written required and ability to achieve full CCIE in first year
is required (Routing/Switching or Voice)
Excellent communication (including written and presentation),
customer service, and organizational skills
Experience managing technical teams
Bachelor's degree
