This person will be capable of designing, refactoring and coding the business and persistence tier of a scalable J2EE enterprise web application that handles high transaction volumes. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* •Understand overall business requirements and develop technical design •Lead business and persistence tier design and development involving Java/J2EE stack •Provide direction on best practices in designing and developing high performance business and persistence tier •Create system architecture and design documentation including sequence and class diagrams and creating pseudo code •Assist with the definition and execution of unit test scripts and data to support system design •Provide direction and assist developers during development •Help with the development of complex parts of the system *QUALIFICATIONS:* •BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of overall IT experience or equivalent work experience •At least 4-5 years of experience in Java/J2EE, Object Oriented Programming and should have experience in a lead position on a large J2EE project •Strong database experience with ability to tune complex query performance •Significant development experience in Java, J2EE, Persistence Frameworks, Session and Entity Beans, DAOs, Messaging, Web Services, XML and XSLT •Expertise in J2EE design patterns, server side development involving Weblogic Application Server and relational databases e.g. Oracle •Technical Design experience with Rational Rose or MagicDraw using Unified Modeling Language (UML) •Experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle •The candidate should have a flexible attitude, ability to work closely with multiple internal cross-functional teams and clients •The candidate should be a team player, excellent written and verbal communication skills, willing to accept challenges * * *R.
