*Job Description:* Database management through maintenance of data dictionaries, data models, performance tuning. Coordinates database changes and tests. This is a PeopleSoft Application and Database Administrator will provide administrative and technical support for PeopleSoft HRMS, Payroll, eModules, Data Conversion and Performance Management. Additional responsibilities include the installation of Oracle and PeopleSoft software, patches, trouble-shooting problems, Performance Tuning, Software Configuration, Capacity Planning, Architecture and Migrations. This individual will support the DC government's PeopleSoft applications including Application Server, Process Scheduler server, Web Server and oracle databases. Candidate must have 6+ years of experience implementing and supporting PeopleSoft HRMS, Payroll, Time and labor, eModules, data conversion and performance management modules. Candidate must possess strong background in Oracle 10g database administration specifically RAC, performance tuning and backup and recovery using RMAN. Candidate must be able to support Ariba Procurement, Seebeyond Integration, Mercury Quality Center and PVCS databases in a high available environment. Prior knowledge of Government systems is desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills and prior experience with troubleshooting problems; documenting and reporting back after corrective measures have been taken. *Behavior Characteristics:* Good communication and presentation skills desirable.
