Position: Cisco Network Engineer Location: Baltimore, MD Duration: 3 Month(s) *GC'S and Citizens only* *PROJECT DESCRIPTION * The Senior Cisco Network Engineer will be participating in the pre-sales planning and post-sales design, architecture, installation and configuration of high-end network communication systems for a client in Baltimore. Primary responsibilities will include providing advisory consulting and solution analysis to meet the customer'(tm)s overall network needs '" this will include assessing the current network capabilities as well as recommending future capacity requirements. In addition to the consulting role, the Senior Cisco Network Engineer will participate in the design of the solutions and then test to ensure the network hardware and software elements are in line with the customer'(tm)s goals. Candidates MUST have a CCNP Certification and a demonstrated background with Core IP Backbone and MPLS Networks. *REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS* - Minimum Bachelors or 4 year college degree with a minimum of 5 years IT experience - CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) Certification at a minimum - Required proficiency with Cisco Routing & Switching, including routing protocols - Very strong LAN/WAN /MAN experience with a focus on WAN services (ISDN, Frame Relay, ATM, MPLS) - Specifically, candidates should have a thorough (3 years) understanding of IPv4/IPv6 and MPLS backbone networks and how the cutting edge design relates to improved performance and cost efficiency for the customer - Expert IP Network Troubleshooting.
