This is NOT a DBA; however, someone who can sit on the fence between the production and operations background. The ideal candidate will excel in a team environment and be willing to learn new things daily at the same time be able to accept accountability to improve the overall performance of the team. Required Skills: Here is a list of the key skills needed: - Sharding data across multiple RDBMS servers in a high-volume OLTP environment. - Distributed systems architecture experience: AMQP, XMPP, HTTP, REST, memcached, etc. - Extensive RDBMS and SQL use (MySQL strongly preferred). - Ability to identify, analyse, and eliminate data and architectural choke points. - Lots of hands-on experience coding in Python, C++, and maybe Erlang.
