*Position: Remedy Configuration Engineer
Location: CINCINNATI, Ohio
*Candidates must be eligible for hire (Green Card or Citizen) and willing to
accept a full time/permanent hire opportunity with our client once contract
*Phone interview and then an in-person interview will be required for this
position. LOCAL or regional candidates are highly preferred as an in-person
interview will be REQUIRED*
2+ years with Remedy ARS System 6.3 or higher, experience with ITSM (Change
Mgt, Service Desk, Service Management), CMDB
2+ years experience in release processes (supporting multiple versions,
feature vs corrective releases)
2+ years experience with Project Library procedures (version control,
2+ years experience in configuration identification methods including
schemes, re-identification, naming conventions.
2+ years with Configuration Management Tools. Source Code/object code
control and documentation control (i.e. Source Safe, MKS, Documentum)
2+ years experience with Change Management process
6+ years in development experience with two or more languages (ie C, Java,
6+ years in software development doing maintenance and new development
2+ years experience developing, managing, and administrating server-based
2+ years experience with Python, including shell / command scripts.
3+ years software development experience with IDEs such as JBuilder, MS
Visual Studio, Eclipse.
Excellent communication skills are essential for this position.
Provide Tool/process support for source code management and version control
activities (i.e. set up of groups into tool, client installs, etc) .
Develop code to automate build and deployment activities
Troubleshoot issues associated with build/deployment activities (i.e.
application, environment, etc.)
Provide technical support of BMC Remedy application (Tool used for Change,
Release, Incident, Problem, CMDB, and Asset Management). We are not the
process owners of change, release, etc but provide the technical tool
support of the tool supporting these processes (i.e. addressing issues,
developing customizations, managing tool upgrades/patches).
Provide technical support of Requirement Management Tool, similar to what is
outlined above in 4 above for Remedy.
