This is my direct client opening for Project Manager - New York, NY. This is
a 5 months contract position. The Hourly rate is $65/hr. Candidates need to
interview in person and should be in the NY area.
*Scope of Services:*
The consultant will provide project management expertise and leadership
within our Applications Development Unit which includes a highly technical
and state of art applications development team responsible for handling the
development of high priority, high profile, mission critical, and extremely
complex applications for the Agency. The consultant will be responsible for
leading the in-house development team, as well as other consultant working
on a variety of complex projects simultaneously in addition to performing
related work. The position is held by a full-time Agency employee currently
taking an extended leave of absence. Principal responsibilities are as
follows:
- Coordinate, and ensure the success of multiple projects of a highly
technical complexity
- Supervise a staff of ten (10) as part of a new development team
engaged in work involving computer applications programming
- Sr. Level Technical Applications Developer responsible for the design
and development of extremely complex computer applications programs. Will
serve as in-house expert and authority
- Utilize knowledge of user interface (HTML) , JavaServer Page, J2EE
Servlets, Application server (websphere), Web server (internet information
system) and database server (MS SQL) to design and develop new complex
applications
- Utilize programming languages required including Java, Java Enterprise
Edition, Java Server Page, Java Servlets, Java Database Connectivity (JD) to
design and develop new complex applications
*Mandatory Skill/Expertise*
PMP Certified in Project Management
Minimum 8 years of experience in overseeing medium to large scale projects
containing sub-projects and distinct
deliverables
Past experience managing projects using J2EE, XML, HTML, .NET, SQL Server,
and Websphere
Experienced with MS Project on highly technical large scale projects*
