Acts as a lead in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts. Works with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project. Analyzes, tests, and certifies application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents. Uses advanced knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems. Researches new products and industry methodologies and facilitates the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Plans and directs quality assurance schedules and assignments, and monitors project status in comparison to cost/time projections. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects. Documents all phases of QA process. Directs and serves as a mentor to less experienced staff. *Description* The candidate must have strong experience in SOA including WSDL, XML, and SOAP messaging. Demonstrated ability with SQL. Familiarity with concepts of MQ Series messaging helpful. Familiarity with tools like Integra, XMLSpy or SOAPScope desirable. *Duties* As a services automation engineer, you will be heavily involved in the technical/business analysis for the purpose of designing and running Integra automated and manual test scripts. In your regression efforts, you will: be the gatekeeper of existing automated test cases surrounding a line of business, ensure that test scripts are up to date with current business changes, aid in the selection of tests to be run for any particular regression depending on the business perspective, analyze results to determine the root cause of problems, communicate with the automation team on any script improvement needs, work closely with leads and analysts from other QA business oriented groups when necessary to manage your testing effort, log production problems, request and maintain test data. Analyze technical requirements Design/Build Integra test scripts Execute Integra test scripts. Analyze regression test errors to determine cause. Drill down into automated script code. Verify accuracy of data. Verify correctness of system configuration. Verify correctness of build configuration. Report status of regression testing to managers and team. Report and track defects in ClearQuest Test fixes submitted from development. Occasional manual testing as required Fix Integra testing scripts Manage relevant documents in ClearCase. Understand the functional specification and scope of projects. Attend project meetings *Requirements: * The successful candidate should have strong analytical skills and be able to successfully multitask in an interrupt driven environment. Experience testing internet-based applications is required. Familiar with the concepts and tools for bug tracking and resolution. Ability to function throughout the entire QA lifecycle. Demonstrated ability to analyze business and technical specifications and design test cases.
