Important:        Client would like to see candidates from the Eastern Time 
Zone Only. since this position works remotely and the office is in NJ, they 
would like this candidate to have the same hours of operation schedule as the 
home office.
It is imperative that the candidate's communication skills are super!!

In-depth knowledge of at least one, but not limited to the following Enterprise 
Data Center topologies and working knowledge of a broad range of IT services 
and applications. 


·       Unix/Linux Server Administration including Installation, 
troubleshooting, cluster configuration, root cause analysis, security patch 
installations Upgrade

·       SAN  Topologies

·       Network Topologies

·       Red Hat Linux Operating System : Advanced

·       AIX Operating system: Intermediate

·       Unix/Linux configuration and troubleshooting: Advanced

·       Core Infrastructure: Intermediate

·       HW/ O/S, Utilities Monitoring

·       Unix/Linux scripting: Advanced

·       Service Management: Intermediate

o        Installation services

o        Problem Management

o        Escalation Management

o        Change implementations


Unix/Linux Server Support Specialist

·       Minimum education requirements: Four year degree in IT related 

·       Minimum of six years of Enterprise level support for Unix/Linux Server 

·       Ability to apply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business 
issues and is regarded as a SME

·       Excellent analytical and problem solving skills


Support Specialist

·       Personnel should be SME certified prior to assignment. Technical 
knowledge level inline with Red Hat Certified Engineer

·       Experience working in an SLA driven environment.

·       Experience with Clarify, Remedy or other ticketing systems

·       Candidate must have proven teamwork and spoken / written communications
