Position     : *PMO Project Manager*

Duration   : 6+ months

Client        : Investment Bank

Location   : NY

Rate          : 450 per day on corp to corp


The role involves working closely with the Prime Services Cluster PMO,
Project Managers and product line heads, the Line Business Manager as well
as other IT and business teams to ensure compliance with Credit Suisse's IT
governance & reporting requirements.

To successfully perform this role an individual should possess the following

ability to communicate proactively & clearly

sound grasp of budgeting & management reporting

highly skilled with MS office products (particularly Excel and pivot tables)

working knowledge of IT project management practices & principles

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

Primary responsibility for the creation and maintenance of the project
portfolio (BoW) and associated budgets and deliverables (milestones)

Responsible for ongoing maintenance, compliance tracking and follow-up with
Project Managers

Responsible for providing the information to all necessary stakeholders
(e.g. Business, Line Business Manager, Central IB-IT Portfolio
Management/PMO team)

Liaison with other groups for budget and resource allocation and deliverable

Responsible for generation of all BoW related MIS information

Provide one-on-one consultation to managers / their designated liaisons in
assisting them to complete their Book of Work

Conduct reviews / analysis of the resource plans against the milestone plans
for inconsistencies and follow- through to closure

Participate in ad-hoc fire drills to provide information to mgmt as

Work with the Line Business Manager for Headcount Inventory Management /
generation of reports for management reporting

Project Web / Book of Work Maintenance

Act as overall interface within the Cluster, COO, PMO, Process Improvement
and other IT groups external to the Cluster that set standards and direction
for CS project and financial reporting

The individual must be able to work in an environment with strict and
aggressive deadlines. A candidate for this position must have a proven
history of performing a similar function (Global PMO organization)
preferably in the financial industry.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience in the financial industry in a
global PMO organization

• Must have sound Resource Planning & Management experience aligned to
Project Management knowledge / principles

• Must possesses excellent communications skills

• Should be experienced in making presentations to senior management


Essential Skills:

• Must be a Power User of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project,
MS PowerPoint)

• Must be very proactive / self-starter; results-oriented

• Must be a strong team player

• Thorough knowledge of MS Office Products / Tools (Word, Excel, Visio, MS
Project, MS PowerPoint)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with IT & the
end users
