Job Title: *PL/SQL Database Analyst** *Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 3 Months Monthly rate: 8000per Month C2C
*Note:** *Client will only pay Monthly Rate All Inclusive. 20% Participates in meetings with project managers, technical support, and clients to identify and specify system requirements and processes. Assists in the design, development, and modification of system, subsystem, or program specifications; and assists in the planning and establishment of testing and implementation procedures. Assists in providing alternative solutions and recommending the best solution based upon fact discovery and management. Assists in the preparation of detailed specifications for programs to be written and in the analysis and revision of existing logic difficulties and documentation. Uses specialized skills and technical expertise to assist users in resolving a system problem, or escalates problem to a more experienced systems analyst in accordance with service level agreements. 50% Work with users to extract data out of the data warehouse and design reports to meet business requirements. Provides guidance to, and supports data warehouse environments for management information systems. Provides primary data warehouse application support for a number of production systems. Monitors data warehouse and performs maintenance and related activities. Analyzes data warehouse requirements for new applications and creation of new databases. Designs applications and databases using third and fourth generation languages. 20% Develops quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data transfers between applications. Supports data warehouse and application task initiatives and troubleshoots and determines causes of data integrity problems. 10% Coordinates and monitors the development of program specifications and efforts. Participates in the development of work plans and schedules consistent with department standards and methods. *Specialized/Practical Knowledge:* Strong Knowledge of relational database products (e.g. ORACLE) Strong Knowledge of 3GL or 4GL programming languages (e.g. PL/SQL) Strong Knowledge of Data Warehouseing concepts (e.g. Star Schema) Working Knowledge of Cognos, PowerPlay, Reportnet and VNC Viewer Working knowledge of SAP business warehouse application. Working knowledge of ETL tools. (e.g. DataStage) Knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Linux/Unix/Windows) Strong analytical skills. Sound judgment and tact. Ability to work effectively with clients, management, and its staff members. Pharmaceutical experience preferred. *Management Skill: ** *Strong interpersonal, client service, oral, and written communications, organizational, and task management skills. Assists with program/process administrations *Interaction: ** *Contact with peers and direct supervisor. Information explanation. Limited cross-functional interaction.
