*Position*: QA Tester (Automated) *Position ID*: 202035 *Location*: Baltimore area *Type*: 6 month Contract to Hire *Citizenship Requirements: **H1-B Visa, EAD Card, Green Card, or US Citizens * *Hourly Rate:* $34-37 Our Client currently has 2 openings for a QA Tester in the Baltimore area. Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in the IT field, with emphasis on automated testing in a mainframe and web-based environment. In this position, candidates will be participating in the design and planning of automated test architecture and implementations. The assignment will have lot of automation so very good knowledge of VB Script (in order to use QTP effectively) and SQL is required. Qualified candidates must have 4 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 7 years of experience without a Bachelors. The hourly rate for the mid-level position is $34-37/hr. The senior level position requires the same number of years experience, but candidates must have lead experience. *Technical Requirements:* - At least 5 years experience with Automated testing - Testing experience on the database side (SQL and DB2) - Experience with analyzing requirements, designing and executing manual and automated test cases, test conditions - Experience with VB Scripting or TSL - Experience writing test plans - Background with testing in both a web-based and mainframe environment. Experience in Web/Internet testing, mainframe, and some database testing a must. - Experience with Process based testing - Designing validation/test plans and test strategies - Excellent understanding of industry standard testing methodologies, processes, and procedures - At least 2+ years of hands on Experience with Quick Test Professional (QTP) automated tool is a must - Experience with Automated test methodologies and Automation Frameworks is required. - Experience with metrics gathering, analysis, and reporting - Experience working with high-volume, real-time DB2 database systems and applications *Non-Technical Requirements:* - Strong team player who is proficient at time management and multitasking and is able to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Highly motivated team player who performs well in a team-oriented environment - Good communication/interpersonal skills and candidate must be customer service oriented. *Desired Skills:* - Experience with Data mining testing - Defect reporting and tracking -Mercury Quality Center, TestDirector experience preferred. - At least 2+ years of experience working with Win Runner automated tool (For all LCAT's) is desired - 2 years of experience working as a Project/Team Lead and expert in manual and automated testing methodology - Quality Center, WinRunner, QuickTestPro (QTP), VBScript, SQL, Excel, Word and Visio *PLEASE SEND ME THE RESUMES TO MY OFFICIAL ID BELOW* *Best Regards* *Chris** Nihaki Systems,Inc.
