*Position : *Domain Administrator** *Location:* Raleigh/Durham, NC *Duration:* 4+ Months *Rate:* $30-32 per hr. *Description:* Internet and Domain Name Administrator responsible for the temporary administration of over 16,000+ Internet domain names registered to the client’s family of companies. Responsibility includes review of client’s portfolio by working with multiple organizations (usually IT) to identify candidate domain names for potential legal issues, forward along to the appropriate attorney or paralegal for legal review. Individual will work with client’s four registrars to achieve registration and internal stakeholders to ensure the domain name registrations are properly accounted for and docketed within client’s docketing system. The department individual will also coordinate with IT to respond to Domain Name System (DNS) requests for adds, deletes, and changes for the vast majority of domains registered to client. *Qualifications & Deliverables:* Understanding of Internet and Domain Name Registration rules and processes (including rules for registries throughout the world, and the best vendor to use to register such domains) Understanding of the concept of Trademarks and how they relate to Internet domain names E-mail and web hosting concepts as these related to the Domain Name System Further detailed concepts of Information Technology so that people both internal and external to client can be assisted with their business needs(firewalls, split DNS domains, etc.) Register and coordinate with docketing to maintain all Internet domain name registrations for all client’s business units requesting them so that those units can create the needed online presences on the Internet. Ensure that all requests for domains adhere to client’s Internet Domain Name Registration Process and are centrally managed. Work with client’s Legal Docketing/Formalities team to ensure registration renewals are appropriately entered and updated. Gain understanding of company setup so that Internet domains are registered to the appropriate client entity. Work with all business units regarding Internet domain name inquiries and requests.
