Very Urgent Need Of System Analyst with ITIL Experiance*(Local To TX)* Position - System Analyst Duration - 1 Year Location - Austin, TX
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Transformation Manager/Supervisor in oversight of the IBM technical transformation activities for all tasks associated with the consolidation and optimization of 27 Texas state agencies' data center services, including equipment migration, software upgrades, software licensing, application performance, technology planning and optimization of the State's IT infrastructure disaster recovery services. Provide overall guidance to IBM regarding the technical and operational server computing needs of DIR and DIR customers. Architect enterprise solutions (e.g. enterprise fax) where appropriate to facilitate data center consolidation. Assist DIR and the IBM team in forecasting server computer resource requirements; reviews, endorses, and "forwards for approval" strategic and operational plans for the consolidated server environment. Minimum Requirements: Experience supporting complex server environments, including capacity planning, operating system upgrades, system software upgrades, and implementing server hardware upgrades. Experience planning and executing consolidation efforts for large, complex data center outsourcing or infrastructure consolidation projects. Detailed technical experience implementing server virtualization. Experience implementing or providing oversight for physical-to-virtual server migration, software licensing, application performance and technology optimization. Experience communicating project plans, status, issues and technical information to senior executives and managers. Preferences: Experience architecting large-scale enterprise solutions Experience migrating applications and utility services (e.g. DNS, file/print, Domain Controllers) from a LAN to a WAN environment. Experience participating in IT infrastructure planning and plan execution activities in a Texas state agency environment Experience implementing ITIL processes.
