Position : Data Architect Duration: 6+ months Location: Portland Rate: 47/hr C2C *Must Haves** Should have broad knowledge Nice to have * * * Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong business and communication skills. Can articulate in Business terms. Minimum of 5 years Data Architect support in both OLTP and Data Warehouse environments. Broad based information technology experience (e.g., languages, methods, EAI, ETL, XML). Solid understanding of relational database design fundamentals. Strong technical skills with knowledge of data warehousing technologies and Techniques (e.g., ETL, ODS, DBMS, BI). Experience with data warehousing elements including star schema, snowflake schema, cube design, ODS and Dimensional or Aggregative designs and others. Strong in SQL performance and optimization analysis to include ad-hoc queries, reports, and complex data analysis queries. Must possess strong knowledge in Normalized and Dimensional Modeling. Knowledge of scorecards, dashboards, and various other Business Intelligence applications like Business Objects, COGNOS and Oracle BIEE, or SAS Must possess skills in Conceptual, Logical and Physical Modeling. Knowledge to Metadata Management. Knowledge in PCI and Sox compliance. Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and strategies. Proficiency required of Oracle 10g (example, knowledge that when deletes are used the empty spaces can be reclaimed etc.) Knowledge in ETL tools (Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle Warehouse Builder) and general ETL techniques. SQLPlus, Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Loader, Import/Export utilities, Oracle Data Streams, Oracle Networking (SQLNet). Deep understanding of development and implementation of Operational Data Store (ODS) as well as dimensional models for warehouse support.
