Position : *Sr. C++ Developer* Location : NY
Duration : 6 months Client : Investment Bank *2 Business official references required for this position* Main Duties: A senior C++ developer who will - be able to architect, design and develop applications for the order routing, exchange link and pricing interfaces for listed derivative products. - lead and guide other developers in design and development of real-time trading applications, review and take technical ownership of their work - participate in design and code reviews for internal and external teams, as necessary - provide second and third level support to existing applications and train the application support teams - have proven track record of working on large distributed systems - work closely with colleagues in US & Singapore on enhancements to our electronic trading systems Special Circumstances: Staff may occasionally need to be on calls with Singapore and London in their time zone and some weekend work on production releases, but no actual shift work. Essential: • Minimum 6 years development experience • Very strong and current in C++ development on Unix/Linux, with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on development experience • Very Strong on Unix/Linux fundamentals. Should have development experience on Unix platform. • Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, sockets • Experienced with multi-threading, design patterns • Strong design skills, OO programming • SQL knowledge (Sybase/Oracle) • Perl/Shell scripting • Experience with debugging tools • Excellent communication skills • experience in leading development teams Desired: IT / Science / Maths/ Engineering based Financial markets knowledge, especially Listed Derivatives, FX, Bonds. • Development of Electronic trading systems • FIX Protocol • Rational Rose • Hands-on development on Java or C# We strongly adhere to strict non-discriminatory employment practices.
