I have my memory-aid notebook (powered by zim) on a bazaar repository
on my server that
i push and pull to/from multiple locations.
In other words, there's nothing stoping anybody from version
controlling his/her wiki content. There'a really no need to have the
wiki software taking care of that. Though most of the online-wiki
softwares out there do that.
That being said, zim actually has a subversion plugin for easy
commiting and updating.
Customizable storage backends are possible to implement without
touching one single line of zim's original source. That's the beauty
of a well engineered OOP (yet rather simple) architecture such as
zim's. Please refer to the docs included in the source, Jaap has made
a good job on that particular aspect too.
