Nothing is done now, we assume single user use of the application. You can of course use e.g. bazaar or ubuntu-one or similar systems to do merge diverging version but this is not supported in the zin user interface. > I ask because with my DMS utility > (http://www.zim-wiki.org/wiki/doku.php?id=directory_documentation) I'd like > to work with Zim constantly open - while in the background the zimDMS script > updates the wiki structure. > In fact instead I exit from Zim every evening, since I dont know what would > happen if the wiki would change while Zim is open (and frankly I prefer not > to have surprises with more than 4000 wiki pages!). That is not related to the syncing you refer to above. In your case you don't have diverging versions of the same page, the page is generated by the script and -I assume- never edited manually. The only conflict you can see is when you edited a generated page by accident - this can be prevented by making either the generated pages or the whole notebook read-only. You will see that zim may not directly see all changes you make to the notebook. Occasionally you may need to run the "update index" from the tools item. However in most cases zim will detect the changes when you access the page in question.
