Andrej, (Jaap - correct me if I'm wrong on this...)
If you use the _{} or ^{} methods, you might need to do a "CTRL-R" (reload) to see the sub/super/scripts. I have "reload wiki markup on the fly" checked as true under preferences, but this is one of the few markups where it seems that I have to reload manually regardless.
