Hello, perhaps the tool "wmctrl" is available on your system? It has the ability to set/unset/toggle the STICK attribute of a window. (But unfortunately, in my environment (cinnamon) this does not work, as Cinnamon has its own notion of stickiness, and ignores that attribute).
