It is possible. You'll have to delete the list numbers (using Del). Interruptions switch off bulleted lists, adding the number that should have followed, switches it on later.
It is not feasible to number headings however - The headings are managed differently from the normal wiki markup, using pango formatting. So while you'll be successful adding heading numbers, they will get garbled the moment the page is refreshed.
