When I hear something said that is just plain idiotic - but not harmful - then I just ignore it. For instance, in our previous ward there is this guy who is a real dork. Mind you, he thinks he's real smart, and there's the problem. On several occasions, in the foyer before, between or after meetings, he'd start in on something on which he fancied himself knowledgeable. It was obvious he was trying to address everyone in the foyer, maybe trying to show us how smart he was. On occasions such as that, I'd just flat out ignore him.
