According to a Newsmax news story reporting a United Press International report, the World Trade Organization (WTO) conference in Cancun has collapsed. While some see this as bad news, others such as myself could only cheer for such an outcome.

"The collapse of a major international conference may not seem grounds for celebration but for anti-globalization protesters outside the conference and for a number of non-governmental organizations within it the news is good. Some of the NGOs are pleased because they feel developing countries have been strong-armed into agreements which do not favor them but do favor rich countries."
