Well, I am not dealing with conflict resolution.
It's something much more complex, and for this I need to be able to compute 
added/deleted BTree keys from the ZODB data.
Nasty I know :)

I'd hazard a guess that Pascal is trying to write conflict resolution 
code. BTrees already have conflict resolution code. I'm not sure it can 
be improved upon.
