Hi All,

IHAC who is facing issue where installation of whole non global zone does not copy all neccessary files to zones filesystem.

OS Version: Solaris 10 release 1/06

Patch Level: Generic_118833-02

Cluster Software: Sun Java Enterprise System 2005Q4 Sun Cluster 3.1u4 for Solaris 10 sparc HA for zones Agent Software: suncluster-3.1_805-ga-agents Agent Component: SunCluster_HA_SOLARIS_ZONES_3.1

Cu Query:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Originally once the sysidcgf phase of zone installation had taken place, after a reboot, it was not possible to log into zone due to absence of libraries. Libraries which required copying were libnspr4.so, libplc4.so, libnss3.so, libssl3.so, libsoftokn3.so and libplds4.so ... once done I was able to log into the zone. I have since noticed that executables for pkgadd and pkginfo are also missing.

Install logs indicate there are a number of packages which have not been installed due to being registered as "global zone only".

I need to know how I can perform an installation and be sure that all libraries and executables are made available to the non global zone. It should be noted that this system is running Sun Java Enterprise System 2005Q4 Sun Cluster 3.1u4 for Solaris 10 sparc.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installation logs have entries as follows:
The package <pkgname> is registered to be installed in the global zone only. The package may have been installed in the global zone using the pkgadd '-G' option, or the package may contain a request script, or the package may directly set the package attribute SUNW_PKG_THISZONE=true in the pkginfo file.
