Or create a wrapper, that runs in the local zone w/ the lsof -Z option
for the zone it was run in.

lsof does not work in zones.  The best options you ave are:

Option 1: use pfiles in the non-global zone:

# cd /proc
# pfiles *

Option 2: use lsof in the global zone

In my opinion, neither option is a great option.
