What about /dev/smb? Will it be created in the zone during install, or we have 
to use mknod for it? To my memories, /dev/ is read only in the zone. Also, what 
will happen, if /dev/smb is simply not there?

Samba is user-land.
AFAIK any userland tasks is supported...
