sidnei has written an excellent product called Flon (i.e. Five for
Plone) which provides a user interface for examining the Z3 interfaces
that an object may have, and for assigning marker interfaces to
particular content instances. whit morriss has written a PLIP
(http://plone.org/products/plone/roadmap/104) which proposes integrating
this into the Plone core. this seems to me to be the sort of thing that
really should live in CMF itself.
Flon is available from codespeak svn:
http://codespeak.net/svn/z3/Flon/trunk/. it's currently under the GPL,
so using this code directly would require enfold to allow CMF to use it
under a different license.
looking at the code, it doesn't look like there's too much going on
that's Plone specific. there is a dependency on the ProxyIndex product,
assuming licensing and other issues could be worked out, is this
something that the CMF core would be interested in?
