I think your proposal sounds interesting, and I'd love to play with some
real code in a Zope/CMF/Plone setting. Perhaps my "fears" are irrational,
it's a bit too hard to speak to all this since it's just abstract ideas in
my mind.
I think a demo e.g. with a simple replacement for main_template and the
ability to serve up, say, a simple navtree and a Document body would be
very instructive. If anything, it's an interesting experiment.
