Currently CMFDefault does allow you to see or even retrieve information from an object which does not have discussion allowed. This means that it is not possible to allow discussions for an object and then stop people from adding more comments while still making the existing comments available.
Is there a special reason that getDiscussionFor explicitly tests isDiscussionAllowedFor ?
