You'll know it when there is a corruption, Zope will let you know when 

  1. starting up

  2. encountering a record that is corrupted

You can use Ty Sarna's Tranalyzer:


to analyze you Data.fs transactions. And the "Recovering Corrupted Data.fs
ZODB files" How-To tells you how to use it:
