I dunno... if you don't mind it happening in a disorganized, haphazard fashion, zopewiki.org is the perfect place for this IMO.
You'd hear no argument from me.. I think it would need to be a little bit organized though.. without some rough standard for presentation, some visible measure of progress, volunteer instructions etc. it seems an overwhelming task.
