the web browser just keeps "spinning" when we call up the zope pages? no error messages or anything! could it have something to do with an updated version of pyOpenSSL.i386 installed (yum last night)?
A software update is nothing I would describe as "sudden" as you did above.
aarrgghh please tell me i haven't wasted all this time and will regret not using php!! :-)
So try to revert the software update and see it the error goes away...this would be the first step.
