Probably, because it is almost precisely what the name promisses: a "view" on a filesystem directory. It sees objects based on registered extensions (registered via "registerFileExtension(extension, class)"). The registration also defines the class, the file is mapped to. There is an additional feature: if there is a "file.metadata" file, then its content (format seen in the tests ".../CMFCore/tests/*/*/*.metadata") defines metadata for "file". > ... >my second question is, .. is file system directory view what I want. Probably not. Zope will not let you change objects via this view. >Again, >I want to store files in the unix file system, expose those to zope, then >store meta data on each of those image in zodb. The last feature is not supported by "FSDV" (also, you can implement it yourself). -- Dieter _______________________________________________ Zope maillist - [email protected] http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope ** No cross posts or HTML encoding! ** (Related lists - http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-announce http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-dev )
