Have you checked for broken products in the Control_Panel ? If you run in debug mode (cf <ZOPE-INSTANCE>/etc/zope.conf), have no error when starting with runzope, have nothing wrong the event.log, and have no broken product in the Control_Panel, then it must have something to do with the phase of the moon...
