Huh? The 2.8 checkout contains *everything* you need. After "make
install" you should have everything you need including zeo. You need
*of course*
create your own Zope instance using mkzopeinstance.py or your ZEO
instance using mkzeoinstance.py.

this is what I expected.
but it is not so.
when I tried to make a zeo instance I got the following traceback..

1026 ./configure --prefix=../Zope-2.8.svn
1027 make
1028 make install
1029 cd ..
1030 dir
1031 rm Zope-2.8
1032 ln -s Zope-2.8.svn Zope-2.8
