The prefix affects only the "sequence-" variables (it replaces the
"sequence-" prefix by "<prefix>_"). It does not do anything with
the other (non "sequence-" prefixed) variables definied by the "dtml-in".

@ Dieter - thanks for clearing that up. Maybe [sequence]-var-[variable] or rather "outer-var-role" will work then.. Will give it a try when I get back to work.
I'll look into ZPT as well. Sounds promising.
