I recently bought a new BC-21 print head off the internet. When I put
it in my printer and close the door, the error light keeps blinking
and the cartridge will stay in the center. When I turn off the printer
the cartridge is still in the center of the unit. When I try to print
I get a communication error. It seems to me that the printer is not
recongizing that there is a cartridge installed. Now, when I use my
Apple all black cartridge, it works just fine. The person I bought the
color cartridge from has offered to replace it for me, but before we
start exchaning cartridges I want to make sure there is not a computer
setting that I need to reset.
I am using MacOS 7.6.1 with QuickDraw GX drivers.
Thanks,
Andrew
