Somewhere in the users mailing list archive there must be some
information about this. IIRC there is a beat counter, I guess Gustin did
recommend one for 2.1. I was searching for a sequencer that is able to
set up the tempos of a song by taping a key. This means not only a beat
counter, IMO a beat counter is useless, as a musician I need some
seconds to find the correct tempo without a beat counter and I'm really
out of practise. What really is needed, is a sequencer that is able to
set up the MIDI tempo with speed changes, by tapping e.g. to sync to a
complete song from an audio source.

I'm sure there is a beat counter available, maybe as a "hidden"
metronome function of an application. Search the archive ... I searched
but didn't find it, I need to reboot to search my old emails, but I'm
too short in time now to do it.
